Are Meowth and Chansey any good?

Meowth is most effective as an early-game card that helps set up your late game. With a modest health pool and low energy costs for its moves and retreats, Meowth can fit into various decklists looking for specific combinations to leverage in the late game. While Meowth is a solid card, Persian is less impressive. The time required to set up Persian does not justify the benefits it provides. Evolving Meowth into Persian results in a 30 HP increase and a 30 power increase for its move, but this comes at the cost of one additional energy. Moreover, Persian's ability, Shadow Claw, relies on a coin flip, making its effectiveness 50/50 at best. While it could be useful against opponents holding trainers and items, the inconsistency of Shadow Claw makes Persian a less desirable choice.

What about Chansey? One thing is for certain: Chansey is quite tanky. If you're looking for a card that can absorb hits while you build up your bench, Chansey can be very helpful. Although Gentle Slap deals a respectable amount of damage, its requirement of three energy makes it less desirable compared to cards that offer a clearer path to victory.
