There is a new Wonder Pick event starting this week. Here is everything you need to know about the Fire Type Outbreak Wonderpick event!

Fire Type Outbreak

This new event is another Wonder Pick event, just like the Chansey/Meowth event. This event is heavily based on Fire-Type Pokemon and Arcanine EX. Like the previous event, extra missions are associated with the Wonder Picks, but you cannot obtain special Promo cards or shop items. Instead, this event will help players have an increased chance to get fire-type cards that they are missing from their collection. This is a great opportunity to help fill out those Blaine and Arcanine EX decks featured in both tournaments and regular play recently.

• End: November 28, 2024 at 5:59 AM UTC

What can we pull?

Just like the last event, a few different types of Wonder Picks will appear throughout the event. These include a Bonus Pick and a Rare Pick. Each type offers its own set of rewards as well as its own cost. Like the last event with the Chansey Pick, which cost 2 wonder pick stamina, this event's rare pick will cost stamina. However, the Bonus pick is available at no cost.

Rare Pick

The rare pick is the main attraction of this event, which will include 5 different fire-type Pokemon, including Arcanine EX. Currently, 2 separate options of Rare Wonder Picks will appear, with Arcanine EX, Charizard, and Moltres being in both picks and either Blaine and Rapidash or Charmeleon and Ninetales being in the other. This is a great chance to use your Wonder Pick hourglasses to complete both the Blaine Fire deck and the Arcanine EX fire deck, which are showing up more and more in both tournaments and the meta. The rare pick will cost 3 Stamina or 36 Wonder Pick Hourglasses.

Bonus Pick

The Bonus pick is slightly different because it typically includes 4 non-card items like Shop tickets, hourglasses, and 1 Pokemon card. From what we have gathered the cards included in the bonus pick will be Charmeloen, Blaine, Rapidash, or Ninetales. However, each bonus pick is free, so I would pick up as many as possible to gather the necessary resources.

Extra Missions

This event also includes extra missions for some more hourglasses and shop tickets. They are as follows.

These are all passive missions that anyone can complete if they play the game and engage with the Wonder Picks a few times throughout the event. The hardest might be obtaining the Arcanine EX because some of us will, unfortunately, get unlucky more often than not, but that is the nature of the Wonder Pick sometimes.

Is it worth it?

This might be an odd question because, realistically, these events don’t take much from the player to engage in, but regarding the fire-type outbreak, this event will be worth a lot of players' attention. Currently, these two decks are becoming very popular:

During this event, picking up any missing pieces, which are doubles for both of these decks except Moltres EX will be fairly simple. That makes this event very appealing for trying to maximize the potential gain instead of just casually grabbing wonder picks here and there.
